Top Ten Secrets to "Not Screwing it ALL up!"

(Secret tips from our expert instructor, Former Royal Navy Officer, International Yacht Captain and Instructor, David Morris)

 1. Practice stopping your boat using the engine(s) - look sideways, not forwards, to see if it is actually stopped.  Most people keep creeping forwards when they think they are stopped.

 2. When going in reverse turn your body so you can fully see behind you - sound obvious? You'd be surprised :) Most people keep a huge blind arc over one shoulder.

3. Use the full width of available space in your marina "alleyway" to maneuver. When you are confident stopping with precision, you can give yourself more space to spin and twist.
